Shearwater Haven provides shelter from the winds of the Southern Ocean as well as from the crowds of the busy tourist village. The cultivated garden extends from exotic to native species, merging into the natural bushland. 		Rise early and watch the sun rise over The Twelve Apostles or the Bay of Islands, each within 15 minutes drive.

150 bird species have been identified from the windows, including resident rufous bristle birds, shrike thrushes, colourful rosellas, white goshawks, yellow robins, honey-eaters and wrens.
Take your early morning walk along the cliff top discovery walk to Two Mile Bay or by contrast, past the rural farmland and native bush. You may surprise a black wallaby or an echidna along the way.
